About me

About me

 My name is Atene (Athena), I have been practicing yoga for over 5 years now. And now I would like to share my love for yoga with you. Together we will explore the beauty of yoga that spreads beyond the graceful asanas that we see today.


My mission is to create a space where we concentrate on the spiritual and divine aspects of yoga, while gently diving into the asanas. To create an environment where you are able to fully strengthen your body and to connect to mind and spirit.


The Flow and intensity  varies each session, combining vinyasa and hatha yoga styles. 

Expect to experience different themes such as  connection of the flow to phases of the moon, where we bring attention within, leaving all the noise outside.  

We will also explore pranayama and meditation. Nourishing, not only our body but also our mind and spirit. Allowing us an escape from our busy lifestyles, where at least for an hour we get to connect back to ourselves.

Vinyasa

 In Vinyasa Yoga, the breath is synchronized with the movements of the body, creating a flowing and dynamic practice. 

The asanas (yoga postures) are linked together in a continuous sequence, making each class unique and creative. 

My classes are  suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners, there are always regressions and progressions offered, to cater to everybody's  needs, it is all about listening to our bodies and our breath.

Hatha

Hatha style concentrates on develops a strong and healthy posture. The slow and deliberate practice of asanas  allows for a deeper exploration of alignment and encourages students to pay close attention to their bodies. 

In addition to asana practice, this class also incorporates pranayama (breathwork) and meditation. 

The classes in Mindful Motion  usually have a mix of vinyasa and hatha yoga styles. In a single class you get to experience ,the feel of a faster flow and the benefits of pausing in an asana to experience its benefits.

Meditation & Pranayama

 Meditation and Pranayama or breathwork are included almost in every practice. The beautiful combination of asanas, meditation and pranayama allow us to fully explore the practice of yoga, allowing us a path back to ourselves. 

Through meditation we learn how to stay centered and find our inner peace. Which we bring with us beyond our mat. Incorporating focus and serenity, practice after practice, into our daily lives. 

Through pranayama we connect our body and mind, further quieting our loud minds, creating sense of stillness and ease, reducing stress.

What to expect in One to one / One to two session

In these sessions we will dive even deeper into the practice of  pranayama, meditation, technique of asanas and sun salutations. This is also a great way to come back or begin yoga after an injury. We can flow at your own pace and learn what suits you at this moment in time. 

If you’re nervous for your first group class this would be an amazing way to step your foot into the world of yoga! Would like to flow with a friend/partner? Bring them along to a One to Two session!
